Application Process

Step 1

  1. Review the Own a Habitat Home Criteria page carefully to see if you meet the general qualifications.
  2. Review your financial records to clarify the source(s) of your income and calculate your total household income from all adult members of your household. Compare these to the criteria under item 2 on the Criteria page.
  3. If you currently have a bad credit rating, overwhelming debt, or have recently declared personal bankruptcy, we recommend you contact Credit and Dept Counselling Services to help you devise a plan to improve your financial situation. Credit and Debt Counselling Services is a not-for-profit service that charges fees on a sliding scale. Once you have improved your financial situation, if you meet all of the other criteria you are welcome to apply.
  4. If you currently meet all the general criteria contact the Manager of Family Services to set up an appointment time to go to the Habitat for Humanity London office to pick up the application. The appointment will take 15-30 minutes. It is necessary to pick up the application in person from the Manager of Family Services.
